How To Play
Texas Hold’em is a fun game usually seen at casinos or even family gatherings. Here, the rules will be explained as simple as possible so there won’t be comprehensive explanations on betting or gambling. This will be explained in more detail in the tips and hints section.

You need - deck of 52 cards
- 2 to 11 people
- chips or money is optional

There are 4 different suits:
spades , hearts , clubs , and diamonds , all ranging from the lowest card 2 up to Ace. Note that aces can be used for both high straights or low straights (for more details go to Poker Hands).

The person dealing the cards (if there is no professional dealer), will have a round dealer “button” placed in front of his cards and the person at his immediate left will begin the betting. The button moves one seat clockwise after each game.

1. Preflop
Each player is dealt 2 cards faced down. They can use either both, one or none of these cards depending on what the highest ranked cards are at the end of the game.

2. Flop
Dealer shows 3 cards on the table. This is known as the “flop”. Betting proceeds again. Note players can “fold” or in normal terms, quit at any time if they feel their cards are not good enough.

3. Turn
One more card is shown. This is called the “turn”. More betting involved.

4. River
The last card is shown known as the “river”. Final round of betting and whoever has the highest ranked 5 cards out of the 7, wins the “pot”.
